Learning

Date and Time:

Saturday, May 2, 2020, 10:00am

Registration Deadline:

Wednesday, April 15, 2020, 5:00pm

On May 2nd, a local falconer will bring his red-tailed hawk and share with us the finer points of partnering with a hunting bird. We will spend the afternoon learning to identify raptors in flight, looking for nest-sites and trying activities to take home to students in the formal and non-formal classroom.

The workshop will credit 5 hours of Criteria II EE certification and .5 hours of Continuing Education Units.

Bring your lunch, dress for the weather and come prepared to fall in love with the wild aerial hunters.

  • WHAT: WILD: Raptors
  • WHEN: May 2, 10 - 3
  • WHERE: The NC Wildlife Resources depot Location:

The physical address to the depot is 2995 N US HWY 1 Hoffman, NC 28347

However, that address is not going to work in a GPS. The safest GPS bet is the Hoffman BP gas station. From the gas station they will turn south on US HWY 1, go about ½ mile and turn right into the driveway where the big wildlife diamond is.  The Hoffman BP address is : 2183 Caddell Rd, Hoffman, NC 28347
