NAAEE seeks a creative consultant to provide coordination, writing, and communication support for NAAEE’s ee360+ program. The estimated time commitment is 32–34 hours per week through March 2023, with the possibility of an extension dependent on funding.
NAAEE is looking to contract with an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to provide support for the Coalition for Climate Education Policy. The estimated time commitment is 10 hours per week through December 2022, with the possibility of an extension. This is a remote position, with a preference for someone in the DC area.
NAAEE endorses the No Child Left Inside Act of 2022, introduced into the House and Senate on April 7, and calls on the environmental education community to rally around this groundbreaking legislation.

Like many stakeholder groups, advocates in environmental education have been anxiously waiting for several elusive pieces of a complex fiscal puzzle to fall into place for an understanding of how environmental education (EE) fits into the bigger picture of the FY22 budget. But even with the September 30 deadline to fund the government for next year, the normal appropriations process has taken a back seat to negotiations on infrastructure, at least for now. Here’s the latest on what we know and what we don’t when it comes to how environmental education is faring in the fiscal year 2022 budget and in the two-track approach to infrastructure investments.
The purpose of this position is to perform process duties related to promoting environmental awareness and consciousness of water resources, water conservation, recycling, pollution, and water quality and streams within the geographical boundaries of Fulton County, including conducting educational classes, workshops, and community outreach programs; developing informational materials; researching environmental trends and issues; and preparing technical reports.
