The Public Programs Lead, reporting to the Public Programs Assistant Manager, is responsible for conducting informal science education programs with museum guests. These programs include informal science education programs for all-age audiences, live animal programs, theater programs, programs for young children and their caregivers, virtual programs, as well as conversations with guests centered around natural history specimens and objects.

The temporary part-time Public Programs Presenter is responsible for conducting informal science education programs with museum guests about various topics throughout the Academy. The Public Programs Presenter is comfortable engaging with guests and presenting on any topic relevant to the Academy and its mission. Weekend and evening work will be required. This part-time Presenter, in addition to their regular weekly shift, will also cover vacation, event and sick time requests.
Reporting to the Science Action Club (SAC) Manager, the Education Marketing Coordinator is responsible for producing graphic and written content for promotional materials that help SAC tell our story and engage new audiences. The position will produce flyers and reports, coordinate email and social media campaigns, and make occasional updates to SAC’s webpages and learning management system. Reporting to the Assistant Manager of School Programs, the Student Programs Bilingual Educator is responsible for facilitating the Academy’s onsite field trip programs and distance learning programs for grades K- 8. The overarching vision for the Teacher and Student Engagement group is that K-12 educators facilitate meaningful, co-constructed science experiences such that students are motivated and able to apply sustainable solutions to their lives.
The SAC Manager will oversee and implement a strategic plan to strengthen and scale Science Action Club and expand access to high quality science and environmental education resources for out-of-school time (OST) programs. The SAC Manager is responsible for recruiting, enrolling, training, and supporting OST programs to implement SAC in 400+ communities nationwide.
