Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center (TIOBEC) is a charter of Outward Bound USA, the international leader in character development education. Outward Bound Schools all across the world are united behind a central guiding philosophy: through challenge, we learn what we are truly capable of.
At the forefront of integrating character development with academics, TIOBEC uses experiential, place-based learning on an island in the Boston Harbor to inspire Boston Public School students.
Do you believe that kids learn best when they have the chance to experience, touch and feel what they are learning about with their own two hands? Do you agree that that character education is essential to helping kids overcome challenges and lead meaningful lives? Do you cherish opportunities to learn from those around you? Do you thrive in an open, diverse workplace? If so, Thompson Island Outward Bound may be right for you.
