Kit Harrington is a long time early childhood educator, organizer, and advocate. After co-founding one of the earliest outdoor preschools at the University of Washington in 2013, Kit became founding director of the Washington Nature Preschool Alliance, leading advocacy for the passage of the country's first legislation to pilot and license Outdoor and Nature-Based childcare programs. Today, Kit works closely alongside early learning professionals, government officials, and national partners around the country, organizing efforts like the National ONB Policy Huddle and Regional Network Alliance. She brings an emphasis on belonging, reciprocity, and disability justice to her work, and previous experiences as a Montessori Educator, and as the Director of Communications and Community Engagement for a child policy organization in Vermont. Kit loves being creative, learning new things, and exploring the outdoors with her kids.
