About Tandrali's Community Action Project (CAP)
My project is called Magic of the Ocean. It started as a way to help teachers in Tamil Nadu and Kerala bring the ocean into their classrooms through a fun, interactive online platform. But with this new step, I want to go beyond classrooms. I want students themselves to become the teachers—sharing what they learn with their families, neighbours, and communities.
The idea is simple: when young people lead, people listen. Through short online activities, students will be encouraged to organize small awareness drives, ask their communities questions about the ocean, and tell stories that make people care about what’s happening to our seas.
About Tandrali
Beyond my work, I love using art, storytelling, and community dialogue to make conservation relatable. I enjoy collaborating across disciplines and believe small actions, when shared, can spark big change
More About Me
What is your favorite memory of being in nature?
One of my happiest memories is watching the sunrise by the sea, feeling the sand under my feet, and spotting little crabs racing into their holes. What are three environmental values that you try to share with others?
Stay curious about nature, care for it in everyday choices, and work together because protecting the planet is never a solo effort. What (or who) keeps you hopeful for the future?
Children and young people—whenever I see their excitement turn into action, it reminds me that change is possible and already beginning.
