How are you using education to build more sustainable and equitable communities? Tell us about your EE work and impact.
Through KingsCombo Ltd and The CURE International, I am dedicated to using education and empowerment to build sustainable, equitable communities across Africa.
At KingsCombo Ltd, an agribusiness enhancing environmental education, sustainable agriculture, and value addition, we train farmers, women, and youth to adopt eco-friendly agricultural practices that promote Zero Hunger and reduce poverty. We emphasize local resource utilization, waste reduction, and innovation in food processing — empowering participants to see agriculture as both a livelihood and a tool for environmental stewardship.
Through The CURE International, my NGO, we focus on personal development, career orientation, and community transformation. Our programs, such as Clean Up Campaigns, the CURE Career Orientation and Mentorship Programme (CURE-COMP) and the Piggy Bank Project for market women and children, teach financial literacy, self-awareness, and responsible resource management. These initiatives encourage self-reliance, environmental responsibility, and economic resilience.
Together, these two platforms reach hundreds of people annually, bridging the gap between knowledge and action. By combining education, mentorship, and sustainable agriculture, my work inspires individuals to take charge of their environment and future, contributing to the broader goals of Zero Hunger, poverty eradication, and community empowerment.
Tell us about your journey to where you are today. What inspired you? What has your path been like?
I grew up in a rural community where farming was our main source of living, from a young age, I witnessed both the challenges and the opportunities in agriculture. This filled me with a deep desire to see communities in Africa thrive through self-reliance, education, and sustainable livelihoods. Growing up, I witnessed the struggles of hardworking women and youth whose potential was limited by poverty and lack of resources. These experiences inspired me to pursue a path that combines agriculture, education and empowerment as tools of transformation.
As an Agricultural Engineer and founder of KingsCombo Ltd, I realized the power of agribusiness to address poverty, promote Zero Hunger, and foster environmental stewardship. I have worked to train farmers, youth, and women in eco-friendly farming practices and value addition, helping them turn agriculture into a sustainable livelihood.
Later, I founded The CURE International, a nonprofit focused on personal development, mentorship, and community empowerment. Through programs like Clean Up Campaigns, career orientation and financial literacy workshops, I guide young people and women to discover their purpose, make informed career choices, and become agents of change.
My journey has been shaped by faith, resilience, and a passion for community transformation. Seeing individuals and families thrive through education and sustainable agriculture motivates me to continue building equitable, resilient, and hunger-free communities across Africa.
